Lokahi Outrigger Canoe Club is a non-profit 501 C corporation, established in 1992. We are a member of the Northern California Outrigger Canoe Association (NCOCA) whose membership includes clubs from Sacramento to Monterey.
The purpose of the club is to spread "Aloha Spirit" and to promote the cultures of Hawai'i through the sport of outrigger canoeing.
Lokahi means "unity". We are a family oriented outrigger canoe club located in Petaluma. During the months of March through October, we can be found paddling the Petaluma River. Regattas are held at several ocean-park areas such as San Rafael, Monterey and Santa Cruz. We also race at state parks in Sacramento, Pleasanton and Livermore. Each regatta is a series of 36 races for all ages and ability levels. Long distance races can cover distances from 4-16 miles. The events draw crowds of more than 1,000 competitors and spectators.
